Box of Dread Donates to Frights & Pints Charity!
Here at DC we’re always looking to do some good, especially when the proceeds go to a truly worthy cause. Read on for the skinny on how you can help out a children’s charity in the spookiest way possible.
On Saturday, July 25, at Ugly Dog Pub in San Diego (6344 El Cajon Blvd., San Diego, CA 92115) you can take part in Who Goes There podcast’s Frights & Pints Horror Movie Charity Night: Kills for a Cause! with all proceeds going to benefit Ronald McDonald House at Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego.
There will be art on display from local artists and a live painting happening, with the painting to be auctioned off at the end of the night. There will be retro video games to play and an amazing raffle with tons of prizes donated from a lot of wonderful people and companies, including Box of Dread and so much more. The powers-that-be will also be presenting two horrorific flicks outside on the beautiful patio! Doors open at 5:00 PM PT with the first film, Critters, starting around 6:30 PM, followed by Adam Green’s Hatchet! The bar has agreed to donate a portion of sales to the charity as well so head on over for games, drinks, and flicks!
For those of you interested in donating but unable to make the event, they’ve set up online donations via Pay[al. Anyone who donates $10 or more will get a free Who Goes There podcast beer coozie, pins, and stickers and also be entered in an exclusive online-only drawing for some sweet prizes.
The donation link is below, and even if you can’t donate, please share this on your Facebook, Twitter, anything to help spread the word. The online donation link will stay LIVE for one week after the event (ending 8/2/15).
