Bad news for all those people still trying to sell Twilight Time’s out-of-print Christine Blu-ray on eBay for upwards of $100+: Sony has decided to release its own version on Blu-ray in about two months.

This is good news for fans of John Carpenter’s 1983 movie adaptation of Stephen King’s killer car tale who missed out on the limited run Twilight Time release back in 2013. Also really bad news for the poor fools who dropped big bucks buying an overpriced copy on eBay after it quickly it sold out.

Synopsis:
John Carpenter brings Stephen King’s best-selling novel to life in this chilling thriller. She was born in Detroit … on an automobile assembly line. But she is no ordinary automobile. Deep within her chassis lives an unholy presence. She is CHRISTINE – a red and white 1958 Plymouth Fury whose unique standard equipment includes an evil, indestructible vengeance that will destroy anyone in her way. She seduces 17-year-old Arnie Cunningham (Keith Gordon), who becomes consumed with passion for her sleek, rounded chrome-laden body. She demands his complete and unquestioned devotion and when outsiders seek to interfere, they become the victims of Christine’s horrifying wrath.

No word on what (if any) extras will be included on Sony Pictures Home Entertainment’s own Christine Blu-ray when it hits shelves on September 29th, but whatever the price, at least you’ll only have to shell out $19.99 for it.
