Winnipeg-based horror fans, it’s time to pay attention. The good folks over at Zell-Koj Studio are unveiling their debut horror flick Dark Forest at a local theater next month. If you’ve ever wanted to step out for a night on the town and support hometown genre filmmakers in the process, then you now have the opportunity to do so. Make sure to rearrange your calendars accordingly.

Zell-Koj Studio, comprised of local filmmakers David Zellis, Roger Boyer, Craig Guiboche, and Shelly Anthis, hopes to release the modestly-budgeted outing on DVD and Blu-ray at some point in the very near future, which is certainly good news for those of us outside of Winnipeg. For the time being, they’re just thrilled to see Dark Forest play before an enthusiastic crowd on the big screen.
