The supernatural horror film Don’t Knock Twice begins shooting this week in Cardiff, Wales, and Oculus star Katee Sackhoff is in the lead role. On tap today is the latest casting announcement, which brings two more actors into the fold. Read on.

From the Press Release:
Lucy Boynton (Miss Potter, Ballet Shoes, Mo) and Nick Moran (Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2) will join Katee Sackhoff (Oculus, Riddick, “Battlestar Galactica”) in the supernatural horror film Don’t Knock Twice, which is being directed by Caradog James.

An emotional story full of suspense and twists, Don’t Knock Twice follows a guilt-ridden mother (Sackhoff) who wants to reconnect with the daughter (Boynton) she was forced to place into care. To save her estranged daughter, she has to uncover the terrifying truth behind the urban legend of a vengeful, demonic witch.

James (The Machine, Little White Lies) is directing from a script by Emmy-nominated writing duo Mark Huckerby and Nick Ostler (Howl). The film is being produced by Red & Black Films’ award-winner John Giwa-Amu (The Machine, The Call Up) and Seymour Films’ Claire Moorsom.

Content Media is handling worldwide sales rights to Don’t Knock Twice. Content’s President of Film, Jamie Carmichael, serves as executive producer. Don’t Knock Twice is financed by Altara, Ffilm Cymru Wales, the Media Investment Budget, partnered with Pinewood and Content Media. Cardiff-based Red & Black Films is the first Welsh company to benefit from the Media Investment Budget, which is funding a significant proportion of the production’s budget. The Welsh Government is providing an additional grant, and Ffilm Cymru Wales provided support from an early stage with development funding.
