Cub Opens in the UK and Ireland 31 July; DVD Follows 3 August

Those of us here in the States will be able to see Jonas Govaerts’ Cub beginning August 18th, but if you happen to be in the UK or Ireland, you can check it out a few weeks earlier.  Altitude Film Distribution is bringing the Sitges Film Festival winner to cinemas and On Demand on 31 July with a DVD release following shortly thereafter on 3 August.

Cub is directed by Jonas Govaerts and co-written by Govaerts and Roel Mondelaers. It stars Stef Aerts, Evelien Bosmans, and Titus De Voogdt and features a score by Steve Moore (The Guest). For more info visit CubTheMovie on Facebook and follow @cub_themovie on Twitter.

Synopsis:
Sam, an imaginative but vulnerable twelve-year-old, heads off to camp with his Cub Scouts troupe. Mistrusted by the pack leader, Peter, and isolated by the other Scouts, he becomes convinced a terrible fate awaits them in the forest after he discovers a mysterious lair. When Sam tries to warn them, they ignore him; and his darkest fears soon come to life as one by one his fellow scouts are hunted down, leaving him to fight back to survive. Be prepared…
