UK Zombie Fans: Join Grimm Up North for an All-Nighter in September
Grimm Up North, in association with Arrow Video and Scalarama, is presenting a zombie film all-nighter on September 5th and 6th in East Didsbury, Manchester; and the lineup is pretty impressive, including the likes of Romero’s Day of the Dead, the Dawn of the Dead remake, and 28 Days Later. But that’s just half of the films being screened; read on for the full details!

Join us at our very own Grimm HQ of Z Film Studios in East Didsbury, Manchester, for a zombie film marathon in a movie studio of hellishly gory proportions: Grimm Up North, in association with Arrow Video, presents a ZOMBIE ALL-NIGHTER as part of Scalaram.
Doors open at 7.30pm on the night of 5 September, and films will run 8pm till 8am on the 6th. Adult tickets are £16.50 (plus booking fee); visit the Grimm Up North website for additional info, and click here for tickets.

DAWN OF THE DEAD (2004)
Ana, a young beautiful nurse, finishes her day shift at the hospital to return home to her beloved husband; they make love and sleep together. The next day, after her husband is killed by their neighbor next door, he suddenly comes back to life. She discovers the chaos happening in her neighborhood and escapes from her home. After coming to her senses in the woods, she encounters a cop and other survivors, and they decide to find safety in a mall. Soon more survivors come, and they learn that if they want to stay alive, they should stick together as the world is overrun by an army of undead. Can they survive the horror in this horrific global chaos? When there is no more room in hell, the dead will walk the earth…
NIGHTMARE CITY (1980)
TV news reporter Dean Miller waits at the airport for the arrival of a scientist that he is about to interview. An unmarked military plane makes an emergency landing there. The plane doors open, and dozens of zombies burst out, stabbing and shooting military waiting outside. Miller tries to let the people know of this event, but General Murchison of Civil Defense will not allow it. Miller then tries to find his wife and escape from the bloodthirsty zombies that are all over the city.
THE LIVING DEAD AT MANCHESTER MORGUE (1974)
A cop chases two young people visiting the English countryside, suspecting them of a local murder; unbeknownst to him, the real culprits are the living dead, brought to life with a thirst for human flesh by radiation being used by area farmers as a pesticide alternative.
NIGHT OF THE CREEPS (1986)
In 1959, an alien experiment crashes to earth and infects a fraternity member. They freeze the body, but in the modern day, two geeks pledging a fraternity accidentally thaw the corpse, which proceeds to infect the campus with parasites that transform their hosts into killer zombies.
28 DAYS LATER (2002)
A group of animal rights activists break into a lab and release monkeys from their cages to rescue them, despite warnings from a scientist that the monkeys are contagious. As a result of the activists’ actions, a virus that the monkeys contained spreads rapidly across Great Britain and infects numerous people. Jim, who fell into a coma following a bicycle accident shortly before the virus was released, emerges from his coma and finds that London is deserted. He realizes that he is not alone, as within the city there are those that have been infected and those that have not. Jim manages to find more survivors, and they head out to Manchester, where a group of British military personnel offer protection of any survivors from the infected. However, Jim and his colleagues have no idea what they’re in for.
DAY OF THE DEAD (1985)
The Dead have conquered earth, leaving just small groups of people out of their clutches. One group made up of both scientific and military personal, hiding in a bunker somewhere in Florida, tries to get in contact with other survivors of the zombie infestation; but they find themselves quite alone in this new world. Desperately searching for a cure and therefore indulging in strange experiments to overcome this strange transformation into zombies, the scientists lose the faith of the military, resulting in a race against death while the zombies take over the facility. Only common sense can save them now…
