Hajime Isayama’s Attack on Titan has currently sold 45 million copies in Japan, and while it still has a way to go before reaching the 200+ million sales of series like One Piece and Naruto, it’s certainly getting there. It has also gained a large level of popularity in the West, frequently appearing on Amazon’s bestseller charts.

The series features a world overrun by gigantic beings known as Titans, with the reminder of humanity taking shelter in fortified cities whilst plotting how defeat the Titans and take back their world.

With the hype for the live action film duology, it comes as no surprise that more screen installments in the series are being created. Alongside the current anime, a spin-off series called Attack on Titan: Junior High has been announced. Based on the spin-off manga of the same name, it reimagines the series with the main characters as kids, with the idea being to feature the same setting and scenarios as the original series with a more family-friendly tone. Yeah.
