Episode 180: Attachment Director Gabriel Bier Gislason and Dracula: Dead and Loving It (1995)
This week we chat with Attachment writer/director Gabriel Bier Gislason! We chat about his interest in film, making a queer Jewish horror comedy, the locations they built for the film and a whole other host of things. Then we chat about the most scariest movie ever: Dracula: Dead and Loving It. Expects lots of jokes, passages quoted verbatim by Terry and a lot of love for this under-loved Mel Brooks classic. Yes. I said classic.Gabriel isn't on social media but make sure to check out Attachment on Shudder and AMC+Follow Mary Beth, Terry and the Podcast on Twitter.Support us on Patreon! If you want to support our podcast, please please take a moment to go rate us on Spotify and give us a rating and review on iTunes. Episode 50: Sean Keller Was Terrified Watching Beneath the Planet of the Apes (1970)
We're incredibly excited to share our 50th episode with special guest the talented and multi-hyphenate Sean Keller. He co-wrote the screenplay to Dario Argento's Giallo and last year's Into the Dark episode "All That We Destroy" but he's also a musician. His latest Halloween album called Revenge of the Killer Sounds of Halloween debuts September 22nd! Not only did we get a sneak peak but we are sharing MB and Terry's favorite song off the album "You Won't See Me." Oh yeah...and Sean ALSO created our theme song. After discussing his career, we turn our attention to Beneath the Planet of the Apes a film that surprises even in 2020 with its anti-war and anti-ignorance themes. Religions, war and anti-thought scientists get taken to task as we unpack the WTFery of it all. You should preorder Sean's album here: https://seankeller2.bandcamp.com/album/revenge-of-the-killer-sounds-of-halloweenFollow Sean: Twitter: @_seankellerInstagram: theseankellerBandcamp: https://seankeller2.bandcamp.com/Follow Us:@ScarredPodcast@mbmcandrews@gaylydreadful Get bonus content on Patreon Hosted on Acast.
