The Inhabitants to Occupy VOD in October; See the New Poster!
We’ve been following the progress of The Inhabitants, the latest film from the Rasmussen brothers, for a while now; and today we have release news to share plus some new artwork.
Gravitas Ventures has announced the North American release of supernatural thriller The Inhabitants on October 13, 2015, on Video on Demand (VOD). The film will air on multiple VOD platforms including iTunes, Amazon Video, Vudu, Google Play, Xbox LIVE, Sony PlayStation, various cable providers, and more. The film is also currently available for pre‐order on iTunes.
Written and directed by Michael and Shawn Rasmussen, screenwriters of John Carpenter’s The Ward, and produced by international bestselling author Glenn Cooper, The Inhabitants revolves around a young couple (Elise Couture Stone and Michael Reed) who get more than they bargained for when they renovate a neglected bed and breakfast in New England.
After a series of disturbing events, the husband begins to suspect that something evil is lurking within the walls of this old house, and whatever it is has set its sights on his wife. Now he must fight to uncover the inn’s dark secret before this malicious spirit consumes everything he loves.
“We’re very excited to be working with Gravitas to get this film released,” said Shawn Rasmussen. “We think it’s scary as hell with terrific performances from Elise Couture Stone and Michael Reed and a fabulous, haunting score. And I personally can’t think of a better month than October to get it out there.”
The Inhabitants was filmed on location inside one of the oldest houses in New England, which was home to the Salem Witch Trial children. The Noyes‐Parris House (c. 1669) was owned by the infamous Rev. Samuel Parris, who was the father of Betty Parris and uncle to Abigail Williams, the two girls who made the initial accusations that led to the tragic witch trials that took place in Salem, Massachusetts.
