The 2013 horror game Year Walk has just had a tie-in e-novella called Year One: Bedtime Stories for Awful Children published, which contains five creepy fairy tales.

The game featured a supernatural story set in the forests of Sweden. The official synopsis is below:

In the old days man tried to catch a glimpse of the future in the strangest of ways. Experience the ancient Swedish phenomenon of year walking through a different kind of first-person adventure that blurs the line between two and three dimensions, as well as reality and the supernatural.

The book will offer horrific new fairy tales that continue the game’s tradition of adding a sinister twist to seemingly traditional stories. And if the images below are anything to go by, the phrase “creepy as hell” sure seems appropriate.

Year One: Bedtime Stories for Awful Children can be downloaded for free here. The game can be purchased on Steam here and will be released on the Wii U later this month.
