The Strangers Part 2 and More Coming From Intrepid
Intrepid Pictures made a couple of announcements today via the trades, one centering on a sequel we all knew was going to happen and the other an as yet untitled thriller from first-time feature director David Prior.
Variety reports that Intrepid principals Trevor Macy and Marc D. Evans (The Strangers) have tapped former child actor and present DVD special features guru David Prior to helm and also write a genre thriller based on a series of terrifying events that occurred in Wisconsin in the Nineties.
“It’s a strange, circuitous route (to directing my own film), but I think I was the right guy to do this, in the right place at the right time,” Prior tells Variety, and honestly we’re really looking forward to this one. Why? Allow me to direct you to the website for Prior’s acclaimed horror short AM1200. This guy’s got the goods, man!
In other Intrepid news, the company is in the midst of prepping The Strangers: Part 2 to shoot in September for Relativity. Look for more soon!
