Lovecraftian Web Series The Crawler in the Dark Is Now Available

It’s always exciting when someone announces a Lovecraft-inspired film or television series. Although some adaptations and homages are a bit lacking, I’m always hoping someone will come along and absolutely nail the atmosphere the iconic author created in his stories.
Director JR Lipartito hopes his Kwaidan/H.P. Lovecraft-inspired web series The Crawler in the Dark will appeal to horror fans who adore the late writer’s work. It certainly looks promising.
Check out the show’s synopsis:
The story is about two scholars who discover an ancient artifact with which they can psychically explore across space and time but leaves them unwittingly exposed to a malevolent psychic traveler.
The Crawler in the Dark, produced in association with Toei Company Ltd. and YouTube Space Tokyo, recently debuted its first episode. If you like what you see, Episodes Two and Three will arrive on September 17 and September 24, respectively. You can watch Episode One below.
