The Goddamned Comic From Scalped Creators Coming In November

If you’ve read DC Vertigo’s Scalped, you’ll know that writer Jason Aaron and illustrator R.M. Guera are no strangers to brutality, something that their next series, The Goddamned, will embrace.

Set in Biblical times before the Great Flood, the series examines why God lost faith in mankind and decided to drown them all. Aaron sums up the series as: “What if Tarantino did the Bible?”

There’ll be dinosaurs, violence, cavemen, and more violence. “If there is a Hell,” Aaron explains, “this is definitely the book that will make sure I go there.”

Aaron will be a familiar name to comic fans. In addition to being the writer of Marvel’s mega-selling Star Wars, he’s also known for his work on Punisher MAX, Avengers vs. X-Men, and Thor.

Issue #1 goes on sale on November 11, 2015, and in the meantime check out the expletive-laden preview below.
