Amazing Retro Poster for The Similars
Ahead of its premiere at Austin’s Fantastic Fest, an incredible, retro-style poster has been unveiled for The Similars (called Los Paracidos in its native Spanish). The poster comes courtesy of the Morbido Film Festival.
I always prefer old-school hand-drawn posters to the much more common lazy digital ones, and this particular work of art is a tribute to that.
The Similars will premiere at Fantastic Fest on September 25th.
Synopsis:
In the wee hours of October 2, 1968, eight strangers wait for the bus in order to go to the city, enclosed at a bus station in a remote place. Rain has caused a road closure, and the bus doesn’t seem to be close. Soon the strangers become victims of a strange phenomenon, and they all start to physically look different. Threatened by the paranoia and fear of losing their identity, the personalities of the eight strangers begin to clash, and everybody shows the best and worst of themselves, while trying to find who is responsible for this mysterious condition that is invading each one of them like a virus.
