Deus Ex Getting a Comic Tie-in
With Deus Ex: Mankind Divided gearing up for release next year, it’s been announced that a comic series set in the Deus Ex universe is coming from Titan.
Tom Williams, editor at Titan Comics, feels that the Deus Ex universe is rich and vast enough for many stories to be told. He says, “Eidos-Montréal have set a precedent for cyberpunk gaming, and we’re delighted to be a part of their next exciting venture. The Deus Ex universe is rich with political intrigue and social commentary, and we can’t wait to further explore Adam Jensen’s journey through this dystopian landscape, as well as introducing readers to some of the characters of the anticipated new installment, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.”
The first story arc will be divided over five issues and will be written by Alex Irvine, known for his work on Batman, Iron Man, Transformers and Supernatural. Established cover artist Marco Turini will handle illustration duties.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will be released on February 23, 2016, and the first issue of the comic series will hit shelves a bit later on March 2, 2016.
