WME Acquires Film Rights for Neil Cohen’s Exit Zero
When Mr. Dark interviewed Neil A. Cohen this past July about his book Exit Zero, the author said he hoped to bring it to the screen and continue the stories of those that survived the zombie apocalypse. Now, thanks to William Morris Endeavor, he’s that much closer to achieving his goal.
From the Press Release:
William Morris Endeavor has entered into an agreement with Permuted Press to represent the film rights of the novel Exit Zero. Released in the spring of 2015, Exit Zero blends the genres of horror, comedy, and political conspiracy as it follows a group of characters fighting their way down New Jersey’s Garden State Parkway during the initial outbreak of the zombie apocalypse. The debut work by Washington, DC-based author Neil A. Cohen has received critical praise from horror review websites and fans alike for its unique take on the subject as well as the book’s humor and plot twists.
Attached to the future film is Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi of MTV’s “Jersey Shore” and ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars,” a diehard zombie fan who also provided the book’s prominent cover blurb.
