Exclusive: First Stills from Patrick Rea’s Nailbiter
SenoReality Pictures and Ministry Machine Productions have just completed five weeks of production in Lawrence, Kansas, on the horror feature Nailbiter, and they were kind enough to provide two exclusive stills to Dread Central. An additional two weeks of production will be shot later to complete the monster effects sequences and film pick-ups.
Nailbiter tells the story of a mother and three daughters who get caught in a Kansas tornado and are forced to take shelter in a storm cellar. They become trapped and discover they are not alone.
The film stars Erin McGrane, Meg Saricks, Emily Boresow, and Sally Spurgeon. It is directed by Patrick Rea, written by Kendal Sinn and Rea, and produced by Aaron Laue (Last Breath). The director of photography is Hanuman Brown-Eagle, and the photos below are courtesy of Matt Jacobson.
The filmmakers also have several films showing this weekend at the Fright Night Film Festival in Louisville, Kentucky, which includes SenoReality short films “Mrs. Brumett’s Garden,” “Misfortune Smiles,” and “Do Not Disturb” and Sinn’s “Shadow Falls Memorial.” “Mrs. Brumett’s Garden” and “Do Not Disturb” will also be featured at this year’s Estes Park Film Festival in Colorado, which runs September 17-20, 2009.
