Joshua Hoffine’s Fishy Innsmouth Photo Washes Ashore
It’s always a good day when some kind of extremely nifty Lovecraftian project pops up online. Joshua Hoffine recently channeled the acclaimed H.P. Lovecraft’s classic tale The Shadow Over Innsmouth for his latest photography project. With the help of character actor Doug Jones, Hoffine and special effects artist J. Anthony Kosar created a fantastic tribute to Lovecraft’s insanely creepy story.
Hoffine and company raised over $25,000 on Kickstarter to bring this incredible image to life. And from the looks of things, every penny went into making this photo as vivid as humanly possible. The amount of detail is simply unreal, and the creatures themselves are exactly how I envisioned them while reading The Shadow Over Innsmouth. Can you tell I’m impressed?
