Mirrored Gives You Another Good Reason to Fear Your Reflection

Horror movies about mirrors are almost always creepy. Hell, even Martin Scorsese’s “Amazing Stories” episode “Mirror, Mirror” is reason enough to avoid your reflection for the rest of your life. And don’t even get me started on Candyman or the Bloody Mary urban legend. These examples could convince me to ban all reflective surfaces from my house forever.

Writer/producer Nicole Bird and director Ryan Shovey’s short film Mirrored presents yet another example of why mirrors are nothing but trouble. Fortunately for those who can’t wait to check this one out, Mirrored will screen at a handful of festivals this October. More on that in a moment.

First, let’s take a closer look at what the flick is about:

Dylan’s depressed and all he wants to do is veg out in front of the television playing video games. But he needs to get a new mirror installed in his bathroom. Soon after, he notices weird things happen when he turns off the light in his bathroom.

Interested parties can check out Mirrored at the Screamfest Horror Film Festival in Los Angeles on October 17. The screening starts at 10 pm, so make sure to plan your life accordingly. If you can’t make it to this festival, the short will also play at the RIP Horror Film Festival in Los Angeles (October 29 through October 31) and the Puerto Rico Horror Film Festival (October 22 through October 28).
