The Wilding Casts Jordana Spiro in Lead Role
Earlier this month we got word that USA Network and Universal Cable Productions had greenlit a two-hour backdoor pilot for “The Wilding,” a new “supernatural drama,” and now we know who the star will be.
The project, from executive producers Tim Kring (“Heroes”) and writer/creator Silka Luisa (To the Bone), will feature “The Good Wife’s” Jordana Spiro, who is also currently recurring in “Blindspot.” Ciarán Foy (Citadel, Sinister 2) is set to direct.
Synopsis:
Across North Carolina, disparate people realize they’re connected by the same haunting. Their only hope is a fractured family battling the repercussions of a teenage pregnancy, addiction, and the discovery that they belong to a subset of people with supersensory abilities, Wildings.
Spiro will play Margaret Hayes, a psychiatrist whose teenage daughter has been diagnosed with a delusional disorder, though Kayla’s true “condition” makes her the one patient Margaret can’t save.
Luisa wrote the script and will executive produce with Imperative Entertainment’s Kring and Justin Levy (“Super Girl”) as well as Brian Kavanaugh-Jones (Insidious) and Bailey Conway (Insidious 2 and 3). The pilot is set to film in Vancouver.
