Jeremy Cross at the Hyaena Gallery
From August 16th through August 31st, LA-area horror fiends can stop by the Hyaena Gallery (1928 W. Olive, Burbank) and check out some of the amazing work done by artist Jeremy Cross.
The exhibition, entitled Anatomy of Faith, Cross brings us over 30 different pieces that examines the human condition and its tumultuous relationship with Faith through the catalyst of human anatomy.
This is Jeremy’s most personal and conceptual series to date: A showing of both oil paintings and his signature pyrographic (burning images into wood) work that reveals a quantum leap in his artistic progression.
“I recently became fascinated with 14th century artistic expression and thought using a pyrographic was an interesting way to bring about an old style but give it a new twist with some of the imagery I use,” explained Cross.
A limited edition of hand painted Ghostapuss (Cross’ iconic character) cast sculptures will also be available during this show with a very special Ghostapuss being offered during a random drawing.
Anatomy of Faith is Cross’s fourth exhibition at Hyaena. You can check out some of his art in the pics below, or click here for more information.
