One of the cool things about writing for Dread Central, and one of the reasons why I got into writing about movies in the first place, is getting to help indie filmmakers get their flicks in front of people who might appreciate their hard work. So it’s always fun when I can make that happen. I’m not trying to pat myself on the back, either — I genuinely love that rush. It sounds weird, but it’s true.

Which is why I’m excited about director JohnMark Triplett’s seriously enjoyable short film Angel of Death. Despite having very little money and encountering a few production issues, the guy and his cast and crew finished their project, and they are excited to share it with horror fans.

Here’s what the flick is all about:

Alex Bishop, an Angel of Death, has grown weary of reaping souls in the war between Heaven and Hell and longs to be human again. Both sides soon become aware of his desires and attempt to use that against him for their own purposes.

Got 15 minutes to spare? Give Angel of Death a look. It’s good stuff.
