With all the fuss over Frank Miller’s Dark Knight III keeping him firmly in the spotlight, it seems like this weekend was the perfect time to announce his return to the series that made him a superstar in the industry, Sin City.

Although Dark Horse refused to comment, per Comic Book Resources, Miller stated at the 2015 NYCC that he is working on a “Sin City love story set in the backdrop of World War II.”

Hmm, sounds interesting. The fact that it is a period piece will be a particularly intriguing spin on the story. No other details were given.

Despite the fact that A Dame to Kill For only grossed $39 million worldwide, the comics still have a huge fanbase so there will be a lot of demand for this new series. The real question should be: Can the series help Frank Miller to redeem himself after the critical disaster that was Holy Terror?
