Expanded New Moon Trailer and Death Cab Single

Fan frenzy has been building for the past couple of days leading up to tonight’s unveiling of the new extended trailer for The Twilight Saga: New Moon during MTV’s VMA’s. Yeah, we had a detailed description and a leaked version of the shorter trailer Summit included with its Sorority Row release this weekend, but what everyone wanted was the real deal. And here it is.
But that’s not the only treat fans received. Also premiered was the first single from the film’s soundtrack: Death Cab for Cutie’s “Meet Me on the Equinox”. MTV describes the song as “vintage Death Cab, centered on a swirling guitar riff and supported by twitchy, heavy drums. It’s fantastically haunting, which makes it a perfect accompaniment to the new ‘Twilight’ film, which sees Robert Pattinson’s vampire Edward Cullen break up with Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart), leaving her to find comfort in the company of her werewolf friend Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner).
New Moon opens in theaters on November 20, while the soundtrack (which is rumored to feature contributions from Muse, Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke and Bon Iver, among others) will be available October 20.”
