Christine Blu-ray Signing Event Cruises Into Burbank This Weekend

Legendary filmmaker John Carpenter’s Christine, the classic adaptation of the Stephen King novel of the same name, was recently re-released on Blu-ray courtesy of the folks at Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. If you don’t already own a high-definition copy of the flick, you might want to consider picking up a copy this weekend, especially if you live in or around Burbank, California.

The folks over at Dark Delicacies are hosting a Christine signing event that will allow fans to pick up a copy of the flick on Blu-ray and get it signed by cast and crew. The icing on the cake: Christine herself will be in attendance. Just don’t expect to get an autograph from her, as I’ve heard around the parking lot that she’s a bit of diva. Please don’t tell her I said that.

From the Press Release:
In celebration of Sony’s recent special edition Blu-ray release of horror master John Carpenter’s four-wheeled terror CHRISTINE (street date: September 29), Dark Delicacies is hosting a once in a lifetime signing event this Sunday, October 25th. Fans can pick up a copy of the disc, get it signed by cast and crew, and meet Christine herself!

The event begins at 1 pm and runs until 4 pm. Pre-orders for Blu-ray discs are already under way, and numbers are limited so head over to Dark Delicacies’ website to reserve your copy and place in line. Purchasing the disc entitles you to a signature from everyone in attendance (you must attend to get the disc and sigs). Feel free to bring additional items to have signed (additional signature fees apply), and purchase unique items from cast and crew to fill your Christine collection tank! In addition, you can get your picture with the film’s leading lady, the Plymouth menace that has become the most famous car in horror cinema.

Did we mention once in a lifetime?!? We did, and with this lineup you will surely agree. In attendance will be the following:

Alexandra Paul (“Leight Cabot”)
Bill Ostrander (“Buddy Repperton”)
Malcolm Danare (“Moochie”)
Steve Tash (“Rich”)
Stu Charno (“Don Vendenberg”)
Bill Phillips (Screenwriter)
Alan Howarth (Music, composed with John Carpenter)
Don Morgan (Cinematographer)
Kim Gottleib (Still photographer on set)
George Alden (Transportation Dept.)
Jim Wilkey (Stunts)
and… CHRISTINE!

In addition to all the Christine goings on, you will find Dark Delicacies stocked to the gills with the country’s most diverse array of horror books, movies, collectibles, wearables, and more. This is an event not to be missed.

For more info about the event, be sure to swing by the Dark Delicacies website.
