Today on VOD: Bone Tomahawk and Clinger
Much like last weekend, this one is loaded with new horror releases as we inch closer to Halloween, and up on the big screen you’ll find The Last Witch Hunter (review) and Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension (review). As always, if you’d rather stay home, we’ve got you covered. Read on!
First up, S. Craig Zahler makes an impressive debut with Bone Tomahawk, a horror/western that sees Kurt Russell battling ferocious cannibals. The incredible cast of this one also includes Patrick Wilson, Matthew Fox, Richard Jenkins, Lili Simmons, David Arquette, and Sid Haig.
Synopsis:
When a group of cannibal savages kidnaps settlers from the small town of Bright Hope, an unlikely team of gunslingers, led by Sheriff Franklin Hunt (Kurt Russell), sets out to bring them home. But their enemy is more ruthless than anyone could have imagined, putting their mission – and survival itself – in serious jeopardy. This gritty, action-packed thriller chronicles a terrifying rescue mission in the Old West.
Another stay-at-home alternative for this weekend is Paragon Releasing’s Clinger (review), directed by Michael Steves. The supernatural horror film, co-penned by Gabi Chennisi Duncombe and Bubba Fish, stars Vincent Martella, Jennifer Laporte, Julia Aks, Lisa Wilcox, and Debbie Rochon.
Synopsis:
When her possessive high school boyfriend dies in a gruesome accident, Fern Petersen’s life is thrown into turmoil. Things go from bad to worse when he returns as a love-sick ghost to kill her so they can be together for eternity.
