Last month we bought you news of a very original sounding Steam horror game called Layers of Fear. About paint. Yes, because what could be scarier than paint? Nothing, apparently. Find out for yourself as it’s now available on Xbox One’s Game preview program, in addition to Steam Greenlight.

In the game you play as an artist descending into madness as he struggles to create his masterpiece. Because all artists are crazy, eh? Along the way, in his ancient and cursed house, you’ll uncover secret clues and messages about his dark past.

Layers of Fear has had a hugely positive response on Steam Greenlight, so if you’re an Xbox One owner, now is the time to find out why.

Synopsis:
Layers of Fear is a psychedelic horror that will keep you on-edge for the remainder of the game. Delve deep into the mind of an insane painter and discover the secret of his madness as you walk through a constantly shifting house.

Heavily inspired by the masterpiece paintings from the past centuries and the architecture and décor from the XIX century, Layers of Fear is a truly unique experience, where each move of the camera can change your surroundings.

Layer by layer uncover the visions, fears, and horrors that entwine the protagonist and finish the masterpiece he has strived so long to create.
