The Raid Star Iko Uwais to Suffer a Headshot

I’ll admit it. I’m in the minority and didn’t like The Raid: Redemption. At all. I hated how it substituted drama and plot over action. I mean, what’s the point of watching people killing each other if there’s no engaging story to back it up? You might as well just watch someone playing COD online for 100 minutes.

But I thought that Iko Uwais was by far the best thing in the movie, and I’m glad that he’s doing well. I mean, he’s gonna be in the biggest movie of all time, The Force Awakens, so before long he’ll be a household name. And you really do have to hand it to him for deciding to continue to support his native Indonesian film industry rather than only working in Hollywood from now on, as later this month he’ll start shooting Headshot, in which he plays a man who cannot remember anything about his past due to a severe head injury, but had better start remembering soon because for some reason, everyone wants him dead.

The Mo Brothers, known for the insanely violent flicks Killers and Macabre, are helming, so expect bloodshed to be in no short order.
