UPDATED: Lost Boys 3: The Thirst Prepping to Bite
Recall the stinker that was The Lost Boys: The Tribe (review here)? You remember — the flick with the surfing vampires? (Again we ask: Why didn’t the priest just bless the ocean?) No? You missed it? Do yourself a favor and keep it that way. Like it or not, Production Weekly has announced tonight that the next film in the franchise, now called Lost Boys 3: The Thirst, is just about ready to get under way from Warner Premiere.
All that’s known about the film, which has been scripted by Evan Charnov, is that both Corey Feldman and Jamison Newlander are returning to their roles as The Frog Brothers. Being that Newlander is now a vamp and Feldman is still a hunter, this could make for an interesting dynamic between the two. Interesting, yes, but will it be good?
Update: Bloody-Disgusting has learned that the director will be Dario Piana (The Deaths of Ian Stone), filming a script by Evan Charnov (whose only other credit thus far appears to be the TV series “Fearless”, which never made it to the air). BD also provided the following synopsis: When veteran vampire hunter Edgar Frog finds himself destitute and almost friendless, he thinks his life has hit bottom; but wealthy vampire-romance novelist Gwen Liebling offers him a small fortune to go on the vampire hunt of a lifetime and rescue her son Peter from the Alpha Vampire D.J. Dusk. With the help of his friends Zoe, Lars, and Blake, Edgar heads into a bloody battle to exterminate evil.
Remember the good times with the trailer for the original film below.
