Will Brittain Rounds Out Kong: Skull Island Cast
Before King Kong and Godzilla clash on the big screen, brand new franchise installment Kong: Skull Island is headed our way in 2017. The shoot has already begun over in Hawaii, and today brings the latest bit of casting news for the mega-sized creature feature. So read on!
Per THR, up-and-comer Will Brittain (A Teacher, Everybody Wants Some) has nabbed one of the last key roles in Legendary’s monster movie. He will be playing one of the film’s pilots.
Brittain joins the previously announced Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, John Goodman, Samuel L. Jackson, Tom Wilkinson, John C. Reilly, Toby Kebbell, Thomas Mann, Jason Mitchell, Corey Hawkins, John Ortiz, Eugene Cordero, and Shea Whigham.
Jordan Vogt-Roberts directs from a script by John Gatins and Max Borenstein. Producing are Legendary’s John Jashni and Thomas Tull as well as Mary Parent.
The film is about a man (Hiddleston) who travels to the mythical island and home of the king of the apes. A team of explorers venture inside what they find to be a treacherous island. The story is said to honor the King Kong lore but in a different time period.
Kong: Skull Island hit theaters on March 10, 2017.
