Colossal Filming Now! Giant Monster Gods Be Praised!
We’ve been talking about giant monster flick Colossal, the indie sci-fi actioner from writer-director Nacho Vigalondo, for a while now. What we didn’t know is that it is already filming!

Anne Hathaway, Dan Stevens Tim Blake Nelson, and Austin Stowell star in the giant monster flick. Vigalondo (Timecrimes, Open Windows) wrote and directs Colossal.
Here’s the synopsis previously provided by the Voltage Pictures website:
Hathaway will be playing Gloria in the picture, an ordinary woman who, after losing her job and her fiancé, decides to leave her life in New York to move back to her home town. When news reports start surfacing that a giant monster is destroying the city of Tokyo, Gloria gradually comes to realize that she is connected to these far-off events. In order to prevent further destruction, Gloria needs to determine why her seemingly insignificant existence has such a colossal effect on the fate of the world.
