Jordan Peele Tells Allison Williams to Get Out
Comedian Jordan Peele is directing upcoming thriller Get Out for Blumhouse Productions, and though we know precious little about the project, the pairing is more than enough to pique our interest in a big way. On tap today is the first bit of casting news, so read on!
Deadline reports that Allison Williams (“Girls”) will make her feature film debut in Get Out, being written and directed by Peele. The film centers on a young African-American man who visits his white girlfriend’s family estate, and it’s likely that Williams will be playing the girlfriend.
According to recent comments from Peele, the film “takes on the task of exploring race in America, something that hasn’t really been done within the genre since Night of the Living Dead 47 years ago. It’s long overdue.”
Jason Blum and QC Entertainment principals Sean McKittrick and Edward H. Hamm, Jr., are producing. Blumhouse’s Couper Samuelson is executive producing alongside QC’s Ray Mansfield and Shaun Redick.
