Today on VOD: Wrecker
In addition to Corin Hardy’s creature feature The Hallow, which hit VOD yesterday and should be watched by all monster lovers, Michael Bafaro’s Wrecker (review #1, review #2) similarly crashes into limited theaters and drives onto digital outlets as we race towards the sweet, sweet weekend.
Starring Anna Hutchison, Andrea Whitburn, and Michael Dickson, this pseudo-remake of Spielberg’s Duel similarly centers on a murderous trucker, and though Dread’s Staci Layne Wilson enjoyed and recommends the flick, Matt Boiselle didn’t quite agree. But we’ll let you form your own opinion!
Synopsis:
Best friends Emily and Lesley go on a road trip to the desert. When Emily decides to get off the highway and take a “short cut,” they become the target of a relentless and psychotic trucker who forces them to play a deadly game of cat and mouse.
