DVD and Blu-ray Releases: November 17, 2015
We’ve got another fairly healthy release list for you this week, friends. With a total of 17 titles to be on the lookout for, there’s a pretty diverse range of preferences that can be covered. Hopefully this week’s list has something for you.
When it comes to classics, over half of the releases listed below are 25+ years old. A fair amount of those are some hard-to-find, shot-on-video, newly-remastered movies brought to you by Olive Films. Films like Killer Workout, Death Nurse 1 & 2, and Shock ‘Em Dead (featuring a then of-age Traci Lords) are available on DVD and Blu-ray this week. What’s awesome about these releases is how the cover artwork was made to look as though it came straight from your local video rental place circa 1988. Check them out down below to see what I am talking about.
Fans of the unofficial “best worst movie” should be pretty psyched about the Troll / Troll 2 Blu-ray coming to us this week from Scream Factory. At least it’s good for a laugh, and I’m sure that someone somewhere has created a drinking game for at least one, if not both, of the movies.
Lastly, there’s a movie dropping this week on Blu-ray that I know nothing about, but I felt that its title should at least be mentioned. Ticked Off Trannies With Knives. They’re not fully mad… but they’re pretty ticked off.
Next week, we are looking at a tentative list of 23 releases or so. This should give you a lot to think about if you’re planning on visiting your family for Thanksgiving, unless they like to discuss horror movies. If they do, well that’s pretty cool.
Pleasant viewing, fiends.
MOVIES
Bite Marks (2015)

After a period of bad luck, the trio ends up lost and broken down in an abandoned junkyard. The nightmare is only beginning as strange noises in the back of the truck reveal the presence of bloodthirsty vampires. Mark Bessenger’s directorial debut puts a smart, sexually charged spin on the genre. With buckets of blood, humor and thrills that pay homage to bloodsucker classics, “Bite Marks” is a fast-paced, sharp-tongued horror comedy that pushes sexual boundaries.
