900 numbers. Oh, the trouble you could get into dialing those things as a teenager in the Eighties and Nineties. If you’re too young to remember this expensive craze, you may wanna ask your parents as I’m sure they caught hell for fuckin’ around on them when they were your age.
Aside from the usual sex lines and party chat lines which featured “hot women just waiting to meet you,” there were also lines to talk to Santa Claus and even lines which let you hear from everyone’s favorite dream demon, Freddy Krueger.
