A frightening urban legend comes to life in the new film from Tony Wash, entitled The Rake. Read on for the early details.

From the Press Release:
Red Band Films, a division of Unified Pictures based in Los Angeles, has just wrapped production on its latest feature film, THE RAKE. The film stars Shenae Grimes (pictured; SCREAM 4, “90210”), Rachel Melvin (“DUMB AND DUMBER TO), Izabella Miko (COYOTE UGLY, CLASH OF THE TITANS), and Joey Bicicchi (RUDDERLESS).

The psychological horror-thriller was written and directed by Tony Wash, whose short film THE MUCK was met with critical acclaim at the 2014 SXSW Film Festival.

“Working with a talent like Tony Wash to bring such a phenomenal urban legend to life has given us all a great deal of excitement,’” says producer Mike Dozier. “Combined with the outstanding cast and genre bending storyline, we feel we have a winning combo.”

The film follows three siblings as they return home to reconcile the murder of their parents 20 years earlier and discover a startling connection to a local urban legend.

Domestic sales are being handled by Paradigm. Jason Howard, Tommy Vlahopoulos, Tom Chopkowski, and Matthew Lamothe are serving as executive producers.
