Exclusive: Landmine Goes Click Receiving an Explosive North American DVD Launch from Terror Films

Ever since Gareth’s Film4 FrightFest 2015 review of Landmine Goes Click, in which he called the film “brutal and bleak, even outright cruel, yet [it] remains a gripping, worthy watch,” we’ve been hoping to hear some Stateside DVD distro news… and today that news has come!

We’re pleased to exclusively announce that Terror Films has acquired North American (including both Canada and the US) DVD rights to the award-winning thriller Landmine Goes Click by director Levan Bakhia.

The film, which was previously released on most major VOD platforms by Gravitas Ventures on November 10th, has been met with positive reviews since its debut. Along with Gareth’s comments, The Hollywood Reporter praised its “…. diabolically intriguing premise.”  While it’s not for everyone, Landmine Goes Click is obviously striking a cord with reviewers and audiences alike.

Terror Films executive Joe Dain, who negotiated the deal, stated: “This was one of the many reasons we wanted the film. It’s risky, violent, and deals with extreme circumstances and is a departure from the type of films you will see coming out of this label in 2016.”

The cast includes former Disney star Sterling Knight (“Sonny with a Chance”), Spencer Locke (Resident Evil), and Dean Geyer (“Glee”) as three American tourists hiking in the remote countryside of Georgia in Europe. When Chris (Sterling) gets trapped on an armed landmine, Daniel (Geyer) leaves him and Alicia (Locke) to fend for themselves. The threat only worsens when a local psychopath (Kote Tolordava) takes advantage of their situation and begins to taunt and torture the stranded couple.

Landmine Goes Click was an official selection at Shriekfest 2015, where it won the Best Thriller Feature Award. It also screened at Telluride Horror Show, Fantasporto, Atlanta Underground Film Festival, Diabolique International Film Festival, Fantafestival, Sacramento Horror Film Festival, and the Fear Fete Horror Film Festival, where the company first discovered the film.

Terror Films intends to revamp the poster and trailer for the film’s DVD release, which is set for mid 2016, so stay tuned for updates!
