Get Your Fear News With The Last Girl

Last Friday, November 13th, FEARnet launched its brand-new original topical horror news show Fear News With The Last Girl, which bring the top stories from the horror entertainment industry from a place you’d least expect them: inside a horror movie itself. Last week it was a slasher film, and Episode Two is set inside a ghost story.

Ginger Marie Rogers (of cult Web hit There Will Be Brawl) is featured in the series as “The Last Girl”, the iconic final survivor of countless scary movies. Each episode of the new series takes viewers inside a horror film as The Last Girl struggles to survive while still managing to deliver the latest horror and genre news – all in under four minutes. Fear News is the brainchild of Matthew Mercer and Jack Conway.

“FEARnet has two main missions: to provide great scares through free horror movies and shows, and to keep our fans informed of what’s happening in the horror world, said FEARnet.com Editor-in-Chief Sean Redlitz in announcing the new project. “Fear News serves both missions at once – it’s the only show on the web designed to deliver news and scares in equal measure. Each week viewers get the equivalent of the best four minutes of a slasher film, a zombie flick, or another classic genre staple, while also getting our distinctive take on the week’s top stories.”
