Aronofsky’s Black Swan Cast Expands by One
We’ve been talking about Natalie Portman’s Black Swan for a few weeks now, and it wasn’t until like five minutes ago that we discovered the term “Black Swan” has nothing to do with her vagina. It sounded so kinky in that context though, didn’t it? Ah well. The film, directed by Darren Aronofsky and starring Portman, has just gotten itself a new cast member today!
According to Variety Sebastian Stan (“Spread”) has joined the cast of the film and has absolutely nothing to do with either Aronofsky or Portman’s nether-regions. He’ll be joining the previously announced Vincent Cassel, Winona Ryder, and Barbara Hershey.
The film centers on a veteran ballerina (Portman) who finds herself locked in a competitive situation with a rival dancer, with the stakes and twists increasing as the dancers approach a big performance. But it’s unclear whether the rival is a supernatural apparition or if the protagonist is simply having delusions.
Black Swan, whose script has been compared to The Others, could begin shooting as early as this year.
