Rest in Peace: Dan Haggerty

Best known to audiences around the world as “Grizzly Adams,” the world has lost a mountain of a character actor in Dan Haggerty.

According to People, Haggerty was diagnosed with cancer in his spine in August after experiencing back pain in July. Haggerty lost his battle to cancer this Friday morning, January 15th, at age 74.

Over the years Haggerty appeared in several horror films including Terror Out of the Sky, Terror Night, Abducted, Axe Giant: The Wrath of Paul Bunyan, and the cult classics The Chilling and Elves.

We here at Dread Central would like to offer our sincerest of condolences to Haggerty’s friends, family, and constituents. Keep smiling, Dan, and thank you!
