USA Network Opts Out of Ciaran Foy’s The Wilding Pilot
In October of last year it looked like USA Network was moving forward with Universal Cable Productions on a two-hour pilot for “The Wilding,” directed by Ciarán Foy (Citadel, Sinister 2), but now, per Deadline, the show is a no-go.
The “supernatural drama,” from executive producers Tim Kring (“Heroes”) and writer/creator Silka Luisa (To the Bone), was slated to star “The Good Wife’s” Jordana Spiro. The show was centered around the Hayes family — a typical loving, blended family seeking a fresh start after their 17-year-old daughter, Kayla, is released from a mental health institution following ten years of treatment. Their ideals are quickly threatened, however, when Kayla’s apparitions of the dead begin to haunt them once again.
No reason was given for the cancellation, but at least we now have one less thing to worry about programming on our DVR’s!
