The Hollow Finds a Home at Uncork’d Entertainment
Credits on Miles Doleac’s acting resume include “Sleepy Hollow,” “American Horror Story,” and Shark Lake, but acting isn’t the only thing he does. Doleac is also a writer/director with one film already under his belt, and his second feature is soon headed our way.
Deadline reports that LA-based Uncork’d Entertainment has just acquired the North American right’s to The Hollow, which was written and directed by Doleac. A festival run is planned for this year, before a widespread roll-out begins.
“It’s great to be in the hands of a distributor who truly gets and cares about our film on its own terms, somebody who is going to fight to make sure it finds the widest audience possible,” said Doleac.
The Hollow is produced by Lisa Bruce (The Theory of Everything). It features an ensemble cast including James Callis (“Battlestar Galactica”), Jeff Fahey (“Lost”), Christiane Seidel (“Boardwalk Empire”), William Forsythe (The Devil’s Rejects), Miles Doleac (“Containment”), William Sadler (Iron Man 3), David Warshofsky (Now You See Me), Garrett Hines (Deepwater Horizon), Jim Gleason (The Best of Me), and Kelly Lind (The Big Short). The title was licensed by Jeffrey Cooper with Cut Entertainment Group.
Synopsis:
When a U.S. Congressman’s daughter passing through a small town in Mississippi dies in a mysterious triple homicide, a team of F.B.I. agents descends to investigate. The team’s brilliant but jaded lead agent is battling demons both past and present, while his beautiful, tough-as-nails partner tries to hold him and the case together. They find a struggling and corrupt sheriff’s department, a shadowy and much-feared figure who seems to be pulling all of the town’s strings from his mansion on the edge of town, and a local victim with a strange connection to a number of the town’s most prominent figures.
