Writers Chosen for Syfy’s Being Human Re-imagining

Okay, my dread over the thought of Syfy redoing the excellent British TV show “Being Human” has abated a little with the network’s announcement of who will be helming the show. Husband-and-wife duo Jeremy Carver (“Supernatural”) and Anna Fricke (“Privileged”) have been selected to write the series.

The Futon Critic got the scoop during the TCA Winter Press Tour and provided the following rationale from Mark Stern, Syfy’s head of original programming, “[He’s] kind of got the genre cred, and Anna comes out of a more character-based drama world so between them they’ll be really interesting.” As a frame of reference, most recently Carver penned the awesome “Changing Channels” episode of “Supernatural”.

If all goes according to plan, “Being Human” the US version could be ready for a summer launch. While we await casting news and more from Syfy, dig on the trailer for the original below.
