EXCL: Casting Update and Behind-the-Scenes Photos for Fetch

Theodore LoScalzo of DrippingDead Films sent Dread Central a fresh batch of exclusive behind-the-scenes photos for Fetch, director C.M. Downs’ new feature that is currently shooting in Kansas. One look at them and all we can think of is, “Fetch us a sweater! Brrrr!”

Here’s the basic plot crunch: Fetch, a terrifying story of six members of an evangelical Christian group who have been abducted in rural Kansas, was written by Trent (Deadgirl) Haaga and stars Ashlynn Yennie as Starlene Arbuckle (replacing the previously announced Christina DeRosa), Shawn G. Smith as Punch, and newcomer Krystal Heib as Christina Jenkins (originally to be portrayed by Yennie). Smith previously appeared in the “30 Days of Night: Blood Trails” TV series while Yennie will be familiar to those who have seen The Human Centipede (First Sequence) (review here).

LoScalzo told us, “The daily footage coming out has been absolutely amazing, and we are very, very happy about the casting changes. We are absolutely as excited as we can get about Ashlynn’s performance, and Krystal Heib has already made her mark on this production as well.

A couple of the photos are below; click any of them to visit our full Fetch gallery.

Per director Downs, “The last two stills [in the gallery] are raw images from b camera. It was negative 16 degrees when we started shooting. High of 2 degrees that day.” Like we said, “Brrrr!” That is true dedication!
