Here at Dread Central we’re big fans of writer/director Gabriele Albanesi’s The Last House in the Woods (review here). So we were pretty stoked to receive a fresh batch of stills from his latest feature, In the Mouth of Ubaldo Terzani.

Minerva Pictures Group has announced the end of shooting for In the Mouth of Ubaldo Terzani, which is now in post-production. Here’s the synopsis:

Alessio Rinaldi, a 25-year-old director, gets the charge from a producer to write the script of his first movie with Ubaldo Terzani, a well-known writer of horror novels. Alessio moves into Terzani’s house to start this collaboration, and a strange relationship of psychological dependence grows between them: Ubaldo Terzani unveils his dark side, and Alessio fall in a desperate depth of craziness and nightmares. There is a reason why Terzani’s bestsellers are so frightening … Alessio will discover that reality can be unexpectedly more terrifying than every brainchild, and he will have to fight hard to escape Ubaldo Terzani’s jaws.

In the Mouth of Ubaldo Terzani was written and directed by Albanesi and stars Giuseppe Soleri as Alessio Rinaldi, Paolo Sassanelli as Ubaldo Terzani, and Laura Gigante as Sara, Alessio’s girlfriend. The special effects are by Italian “Wizard of Gore” Sergio Stivaletti, who also collaborated with Albanesi on The Last House in the Woods, so you can be sure there will be no shortage of the red stuff.

Dig on the stills below (click each to see it larger), and keep it here for more on In the Mouth of Ubaldo Terzani soon! In the meantime be sure to befriend Gabriele Albanesi on MySpace.
