Alan Wake Set to Return?
File this one under wishful thinking, kids! Gamers and horror fans alike extolled the greatness of Alan Wake when it hit Xbox 360 and PC in 2010, and there have been some rumblings of the character’s return this gen.
Via a post on NeoGAF, a trademark for something called Alan Wake’s Return was filed on February 23rd.
Now this could mean anything, folks, from a remastering to a true sequel. Hopefully we’ll know more soon. In the interim, Xbox One owners can play the offshoot Alan Wake: American Nightmare via backwards compatibility now, and the original game will be available on Xbox One via backwards compatibility when Remedy’s new game, Quantum Break, is released on April 5th.
