Exclusive – Halloween NOT Heading to the Small Screen

When news broke a few days ago that the producers of the Halloween franchise had recently begun discussions with potential network representatives to bring Michael Myers to television, we knew it was NOT a great idea. The good news? So do the people behind the Halloween franchise!

When we asked for confirmation of these reports, Malek Akkad himself emphatically assured us. “No,” said Akkad regarding the possibility of Michael Myers coming to the small screen. “Utter rumors and falsehoods.”

So there you have it, kids! See? The truth was out there!

The Weinsteins lost the Halloween franchise rights a while back, and now the future of another movie is up in the air. Last we reported Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan wrote the script for Halloween Returns, and Dunstan was set to direct. Hopefully when the new movie is officially up and running, this will continue to be the case.
