Images Provide First Look at Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children

Headed our way later this year, the Tim Burton-directed Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children is an adaptation of Ransom Riggs’ same-named 2011 novel, and if you’ve read it, you already know that Burton is the perfect filmmaker to bring it to life on the big screen. On tap today are the first images from the film.

Asa Butterfield stars in the film as protagonist Jacob alongside an impressive roster of talents including Samuel L. Jackson, Eva Green, Allison Janney, Terence Stamp, Ella Purnell, Chris O’Dowd, Kim Dickens, Judi Dench, and Rupert Everett.

Look for the film in theaters on September 30, 2016.

Synopsis:
The unforgettable, thrilling, and haunting tale centers on 16-year-old Jacob (Butterfield), who follows clues that take him to a mysterious island, where he discovers the crumbling ruins of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. As Jacob explores the abandoned bedrooms and hallways, he discovers that its former occupants were far more than peculiar; they possessed incredible powers. And they may still be alive.
