James Caan Suffers The Waiting

One of the many films playing at this weekend’s SXSW Film Festival is Kasra Farahani’s The Waiting, and right now we have the first clip for you courtesy of Deadline. Dig it!

James Caan (The Godfather, Misery), Logan Miller (Scouts Guide to the Apocalypse), Keir Gilchrist (It Follows), Laura Innes, Edwin Hodge, Bailey Noble, Lili Reinhart, Anne Dudek, Mindy Sterling, and Tamlyn Tomita star.

The Waiting is debuting in the Narrative Spotlight section of the 2016 South By Southwest film festival, with the world premiere happening Sunday, March 13, at 9:15 PM at the Stateside Theatre. That’s followed by screenings on Tuesday, March 15, at 7:15 PM at the Alamo Lamar A, and Friday, March 18, at 4:30 PM at the Alamo Ritz 1.

In the film, mysterious events occur when two high school filmmakers decide to create the illusion of a haunting on an unsuspecting neighbor

Star Thrower Entertainment, Ball and Chain Productions, and Anonymous Content all partnered on the project.

Synopsis:
The experiment started with a simple idea: If you had the equipment and the ambition, could you convince another person that they’re being haunted? THE WAITING follows two teenage boys as they attempt to do just that. Through a series of escalating “haunts,” the boys prod an elderly neighbor further and further in order to get a reaction. But as their suspicions grow and the tension mounts, they realize the man they’re manipulating is the last person they should’ve chosen for their project, which will all end in a paralyzing climax they never could have seen coming.
