Last year Ari Drew gave the microbudget indie They Look Like People a pretty glowing review, and if you’ve been curious about it, the film is arriving on Digital and VOD tomorrow, March 11th.

This genre-blending psychological thriller about love, loyalty, and living nightmares quietly took the festival circuit by storm last year, winning Jury Awards at Slamdance, IFF Boston, SF Indiefest, and Nashville as well as the “Most Innovative Film” at Fantasia.

Made with a cast and crew of friends and family only, They Look Like People follows the reunion of old friends, one of whom secretly suspects that those around him have begun to change into evil creatures and struggles with whether to protect his only friend from what he believes is an impending war… or from himself. It is described by the filmmakers as “an indie love story about friendship that just happens to follow people who experience some pretty scary things.”

Perry Blackshear’s microbudget debut feature was picked up by Gravitas Ventures for theatrical, VOD, and Digital last year, who said, “Gravitas is thrilled to be working with Perry Blackshear and his team on the release of They Look Like People — a truly unique piece of filmmaking that we are proud and excited to help reach a large audience across North America.”

The film stars MacLeod Andrews, Evan Dumouchel, and Margaret Drake.

After its theatrical run in LA, They Look Like People will be available March 11th on Comcast, Time Warner On Demand, DirecTV, iTunes, Amazon, Vudu, Google Play, and Microsoft Video Store. For more info visit the official They Look Like People website.
